Goth songs with great lyrics?
Compared to the guitars, drums and bass my favorite part of a goth song is it's lyrics especially when it's sung dramatically and grandiose. As a gothic writer I'm usually more interested in the clever lyrics and narrative storytelling of goth songs e.g [Lesbian Vampyres From Outer Space] and [Lung cancer] both made by Scary bitches. Compared to some others it seems only Scary bitches is doing that while others are non linear and have lots of repeating lyrics, which is also completely fine and good.

Bands that sound great live and bands that sound better on album?
Bands and artists that use mostly synths/electronic music too. Hearing music live and not being too pleased on how they sound IRL will not keep me from continuing to listen to them. Just wondering about others’ experiences with live goth music.

What a great year
I discovered Kaelan Mikla and Nox Novacula. I saw the Sisters of Mercy, The Mission, The Chameleons, the Skeletal Family, Nox Novacula and Sigur Ros. Tickets booked for Twin Tribes, Vandal Moon and Hooky & the Light in 2024.
What were your musical highlights?

Does anyone know a goth band with great bass lines?
Hello, I'm looking for goth bands or albums with bass lines that stand out. For example, in my opinion, Disintegration (The Cure) have amazing bass lines and Volume 2 (Bauhaus) too. I'm also interested in some songs recommendations (still with great bass lines) but I'm mainly looking for album or artists (from any era).

What are some great goth playlists on spotify?
I usually like to create my own but I feel like finding an already established playlist would give me a greater scope of more goth music I might be missing out on. Any recs? New to reddit and more of a babybat when it comes to music!

I got some great photos at Sisters of Mercy in Boston last night, but I couldn’t get a good shot of Andrew because moved around so much and flashbanged my camera with his powerful baldness 😏💥💥
It was a great show! They sounded really good, posed a lot for photos, I got a good spot in the crowd, and heard some of my favorite songs of all time live! If you've been hesitant to see them where you are, I'd say go for it!!
